  2. Repressive states like China are a danger to world stability and will continue so while China exists. The USA will endure for thousands of years, not because of politicians, but because of the PEOPLE. The American people have real freedom and anyone to contest this is foolish, the power of a free people cannot be underestimated.

  4. ***** It is ludicrous to think that corrupt Chinese leaders will ever be the leaders of the free world. The past 100 years of Chinese politics has brought nothing, but death and oppression (Mao). Yes, the US is not perfect, but if you compare the world of 200 years ago you will find we live in a much more peaceful and prosperous world. US naysayers like to predict doom for the US at every corner and have been doing so ever since the US came into being. Unfortunately for the naysayers the US has time and time again shown that it will endure (great depression, war, civil war, soviet union, civil rights ext.). The mistreatment of blacks is a scar on our history, but we changed that in < 100 years, and there is the defining factor of Americans, we are willing to change. You forget the US is only 200 years old and has a long way to go before we Americans can truly call ourselves great. China has been around for thousands of years and its only been mediocre on the world stage and as long as they operate like the dynasties of past, china will never rise. Only a truly free people can call themselves powerful.

  5. Sun Shine Of course I cannot point out every historical event and I am not keen on writing college level essays on YouTube. As for losing our freedom, sure evil people exist in the US that try to undermine our freedom, but first they have to get by 150,000,000 pissed off Americans with guns. No society in completely free, if there were such a country their would be chaos, but in comparison the US in indeed "free". I can talk shit about politicians without mysteriously disappearing, unlike china or Russia. I a lowly student can run for government office and actually win. I can walk down the street without being followed by secret police and if criminals try to rob me I have a handy gun, unlike china. In fact I can do most things here in the land of the free as long as I don't hurt anyone. Its not perfect, but in an imperfect existence, it is as close to perfection you can get so I am perfectly happy to live in the great US of A. Indeed. Yes I do know about the NSA, if they keep their foolishness up I will strangle them with their own mouse cords.

  6. Clueless. Diplomacy first, riots later. According to Amnesty international, china executes more people than all other countries combined. There area also tens of thousands of Chinese missing and thousands of political prisoners in jail. You can look all of this up on their web site. The recent protests in Hong Kong have made it abundantly clear that the repressive Chinese government is stuck in their old ways. One clear indicator is the restriction of the internet, what is the Chinese government afraid of?? If the internet was unrestricted there would be thousands of Tiananmen squares all over china. By the way Amnesty international is not popular belief, its stands are in par to                    credit suisse when addressing financial matters (credibility).

  7. I can see you are the more deluded in this debate, refusing to acknowledge any wrongdoing by Chinese quasi-dictators. Censorship of the internet of any kind is a direct threat to free speech and it will stay that way no matter how you rationalize it. Also according to Amnesty international's website, china has more journalists and cyber-dissidents in prison than any other nation.  As far as "true freedom" is concerned its a given that American freedom > Chinese freedom. If you don't take facts from Amnesty International seriously there is no point in continuing this debate. Good day.
