  8. AMUR DM The crimeans did not ask Russia for anything, Russia took advantage of the turmoil in Kiev and across the country to invade. The new Ukrainian government was disorganized and was unable to mount a proper defence, as soon as structure was formed in the government Ukraine started taking its land back. Unfortunately the Russians intervention stopped the Ukrainian advance. As for the lie that was the referendum, no international monitoring was allowed and any pro Ukrainian people were intimidated as was seen on the videos on YouTube and other websites.

  9. AMUR DM So in your opinion the Crimean people wanted to become part of Russia and that's ok. Fine, so now in your opinion it would also be ok for Chechnya and Georgia to cut all ties and be independent from Russia if the people of those countries decided to vote in a referendum??
