I don't think it'll replace c++ as kotlin and groovy might be there but java is still used (Even though it'll eventually fade) But this is not the first time google is trying to create a competitor of a famous Language, like dart was originally designed to replace javascript but now it doesn't have that many uses outside flutter. I think carbon code looks much better. But c++ may live longer than we expect.
