  1. Had you gone to the high school named for him in Blount County, you probably would have picked up most of it. Our civics/US government teacher was pretty well versed in it and found it interesting that he had a school named for him so long after his time period.

  3. There's about to be new helium history. There's an estimated 1.1M metric tons of He-3 within the first 5 meters of the moons regolith. It's theorized to be a likely fuel for fusion reactors when combined with deuterium. So, in twenty years from now (resetting everyday to twenty years as it has for the past sixty years) when practical fusion reactors are a thing, we'll be mining the moon...well China will be anyway...we in the US sadly gave up on doing much of anything practical in space. We just like to look at the pretty pictures and brag about beating the USSR to the moon.
