  1. Looking at the formulas, it doesn't seem like the loss of atmospheric pressure would have much of an effect. The heights at which the various types of flow occur would probably change a bit but the end results should still look the same.

  2. Both groups are over thinking it. It's simply an object taking the path of least resistance. With clockwise spin, the left side of the stone (relative to the pusher) is turning into the resistance while the right is turning with it. Thus it veers to the right (the side with less resistance.) Both of their theories likely play some small part but the primary factor is the uneven resistance.

  3. After seeing the ball's near total lack of spin, I'm now curious as to the speed at which knuckleball movement ceases. I'm guessing it at least has to be under mach 1.
