  1. I find it interesting that Castro thought Puerto Rico was being prevented from gaining statehood. They've constantly chosen not to become a state. Under their current situation, they get many benefits but without much of the responsibilities that come with statehood. Sounds like Castro was just looking for additional excuses to dislike the US at that point.

  2. I often wonder what JFK's legacy would have been if he hadn't committed suicide by assassin and secured his place as a martyr... All in all, he really was a pretty pathetic President.
