  1.  @NoSaysJo  There's no such thing as a renewable energy source...So called green energy involves removing energy that powers natural systems and using it for something else (without renewing it to it's original system.) Harvesting enough energy from such sources to make them relevant as major power sources will disrupt the environment. Possibly as much or more than that caused by using fossil fuels (especially if fossil fuels are only used at power plants where their emissions can be filtered and cleaned in bulk on site.) Nuclear fission is the closest thing we currently have to safe clean energy and it's not exactly ideal. Fusion would be nice, but it won't be feasible anytime soon, or possibly ever.
