Israel doesn't exist. It's a pretender nation with no legitimacy.

@Matthew_Loutner Neither will this decision. Forcing a woman to carry and give birth is a clear violation of the 13th amendment's prohibition of "involuntary servitude." Once a challenge based on that argument makes it's way to SCOTUS, they'll have to overturn their overturn.

Their pronunciation is accurate for a non native speaker attempting the Ukrainian pronunciation.

Then they're idiots.

Hooray for violating the 13th amendment's prohibition of "involuntary servitude."

They had more than enough to convict him in both impeachments. The Senate Republicans simply chose to vote based on politics rather than the merits of the cases. This time around it's a criminal matter and there's no one to rescue him.

@oSnapMillerTime Taiwan is a poisoned pawn for China. Their primary interest in taking it is economic in nature. Taking it by force however, would require destroying much of it's infrastructure and thus wrecking it's economy. The result would be counterproductive as it would become an economic drain rather than a benefit. Also, bringing Taiwan into the fold would inject a significant amount of democratic ideals into the populous which is the last thing their (edit: China's) communist party needs at the moment. They're already dealing with a total collapse of their economy and rapidly growing civil unrest due to Xi's incompetent leadership. Throwing any unnecessary fuel onto the fire would likely be a political death blow to Xi and possibly the entire government as well. They'll rattle their sabers a bit to save face, the US and Taiwan will say "how cute", and that'll be the end of it.

Her going there despite China's threats created a no win political situation for Xi. China's economy is in total collapse, civil unrest is growing rapidly, and it's almost time for the party decide if Xi gets a third term. Due to the domestic issues, China can't afford to get into any kind of real military scuffle despite their threats. Had said threats been enough to prevent Pelosi's visit, Xi would have received a political boost for bluffing the US. By her going through with her visit however, Xi had two choices. Neither of them beneficial for him. He could do nothing and lose face due to not folowing through on the threats or he could settle for some obviously token saber rattling and lose face for such a pointless non threatening attempt to follow through on the threats. Either way he loses face politically right before the party's decision on his future is to be made. Edit: The medal was just an excuse for her to make her visit.

The affidavits will be fully unsealed when/if he's indicted. Just like in other criminal cases.

China is in the middle of a total economic collapse and civil unrest is increasing rapidly. That's why they've done little to nothing to assist Russia outside of a little lip service. They can't afford to do anything more than rattle their sabers a bit to save face at the moment. Besides, taking Taiwan by force at any point would be counterproductive to China's interests anyway. If there's ever going to be some sort of reunification, it will have to be a peaceful one to make it worthwhile.

The original argument was weak. However, their claim that abortion isn't protected under the constitution is utter hogwash. Forcing a woman to carry and give birth against her will is a clear violation of the 13th amendment's prohibition of "involuntary servitude." In suits where the father seeks to prevent abortion, the courts have consistently held that, while both parties have a stake in the matter, the woman gets the final say because she's the one who has to do the work of carrying and giving birth. If the courts consider it work (as they have many times) then the 13th amendment prohibits the government from forcing a woman to do it against her will.

@mrshittles9424 Contrary to the opinion of the five rogue justices, abortion rights are protected indirectly by the 13th amendment's prohibition of "involuntary servitude." There doesn't need to be anymore to it. Certain justices simply need to leave their political/religious beliefs at the door before putting on their robes.
1
It doesn't matter. The five rogue-ish SCOTUS justices either missed or intentionally ignored that abortion rights are indirectly protected by the 13th amendment's prohibition of "involuntary servitude." Once a challenge on those grounds makes it's way to SCOTUS, they'll have to overturn their overturn.
1
@natejanousek4062 They also have the 13th amendment right against "involuntary servitude." A right this ruling clearly violates.
