  1. People from any profession can suffer from social anxiety. I was a singer/guitarist in a working band for many years as well as a counselor/shift leader on the special care unit of a psych/rehab hospital and I suffer from it. While those roles cause(d) me no anxiety, I often have to force myself to go out in public for other reasons, have had panic attacks from non band related public speaking, and can very easily slip into full hermit mode if I'm not careful.
