  4. The only diplomatic language either side speaks when it comes to the US is weapons supply to Israel. Until we're willing to threaten a change there, neither side have any reason whatsoever to listen to any US President at all. So there will not be a ceasefire unless the two sides involved want one...and neither appear to.
