Short story is a declared economic state of emergency, rural agricultural based towns went under, construction ground to a halt (causing prices to soar), and they had to resort to prison labor (which went as well as you'd expect) until they quickly repealed the law. Now imagine that at the national level... and having to pay for years in camps and their eventual removal, plus keeping them out. Edit: on top of counter tariffs on our agricultural exports along with whatever unqualified regulations RFK Jr. comes up with.

Until someone comes along with a definition of when a fetus counts as "someone" that everyone can agree on, the law must simply respect the mother's right to decide what she does with her body. I'm not a fan of abortion myself but the only logical way to approach the issue is to be pro-choice. It's not my, your, or any other individual's place to force our subjective beliefs onto someone else.

Also, if you really are a mental health counselor, please find another line of work. Start with the fact that from 2000 up to Oct 7, 2023, the IDF murdered on average roughly the same number of Palestinian civilians each year in Gaza and the West Bank that Hamas took out with their attack.
