@teresa8438 Yeah, "facts" Loomer whispered into his ear... The man has never once been about facts. He thrives off of creating paranoia and hysteria with unsupported rumors. He used similar tactics in his business operations.

I'm surprised the ntsb hasn't mentioned in any of it's briefings that the blackhawk should have had four crew members on board to maintain proper visual at all times since they don't have TCAS and are usually flying without transponders that let other craft know they're there. They're not meant to rely on the tower alone.

@CodyCha The Blackhawk was one crewmember short of what they should have had for proper visual (since they don't have TCAS and generally don't have any system other than running lights that will allow other craft to see them) and were at the wrong altitude. The tower gave them all the info they were required to give. With a full crew, they would have had two flight masters in the back providing visual for any traffic in all directions (regardless of tower info) and would have seen the plane in plenty of time.

Because the Blackhawk was one crew member short of what they were supposed to have. There should have been two flight masters in the back instead of just one for proper visual at night in heavily congested airspace.

The Blackhawk was one crew member short of the four they were supposed to have to maintain proper visual under those conditions and flying at the wrong altitude with no TCAS. A less overworked tower might have had more time to spend making sure they had the right plane visible, but it's still up to the chopper to be looking for traffic at all times.

@kathleendonnelly3909 30,000 people left the city long before the immigrants started coming in. Since the immigrants started arriving, companies have moved in and businesses have opened/expanded. They now have a population large enough for places to field 2 or 3 shifts of workers combined between American and immigrant. Without the immigrants, those American jobs would go away. The people are fine with the immigrants, it's the growing pains from the numerical population increase that are annoying. Given time to leverage the economic growth into expanding the schools, hospitals, etc, the problem will fix itself.

@TOBYH The economic growth would be nice, and in time, it could be leveraged into school, hospital, etc. expansion to make up for the numbers...so, yeah, I wouldn't mind. If they want to come here and work, more power to them. It would be a bit of a culture shock, but assimilation would occur over time. People these days want everything to be perfect overnight, and that's not how it works. Despite what some politicians would promise.

@HouseGuide Most voodoo practitioners follow the laws of the land. There are also good forms and bad forms of voodoo. The good forms aren't as big on the sacrificing of animals other than livestock to begin with. Plus many of the immigrants aren't practitioners. Look at the population of Haiti compared to the numbers of immigrants. The immigrants make up a small percentage.

The city used to have a population of over 80,000 then 30,000+ left years before the immigrants started arriving leaving it on economic life support. Since the immigration, their economy is starting to thrive and expand and the're not even up to their original population.If it weren't for the immigrants lots of American citizens there wouldn't have as good of jobs as they have. Once they leverage the economic growth into school, hospital, etc. expansion, the growing pains will cease and they'll be fine.

@paranormalextract4976 There really isn't any. The full amount was budgeted on a timetable and has yet to all go out. What has gone out is accounted for. Trump and crew tried to use the difference between what was reported by Ukraine and the total as some sort of scandal that doesn't exist. About ~60% was spent on the US end for replacement equipment/fuel etc., troop surges to European bases/waters, shipping, intelligence, travel, and many other things related to military and economic aid and coordination. The rest was what was reported received by Ukraine.

Hardly anyone is moving to Ohio (away is more common). The immigrants aren't displacing anyone. They're replacing those who left and aren't coming back. Since the immigration, companies have moved in as well as businesses opening/expanding. With the added workforce and consumer base, places can now field 2 or 3 shifts of workers, both American and immigrant. Without the immigrants, they wouldn't be able to stay in business, and Americans would lose their jobs. The only problem their experiencing is growing pains. They'd been lower population for long enough to let their schools, hospitals, road repair, etc. downsize. Once they leverage the economic growth into expansion of those resources, things will be fine.

Well in all fairness, Russian miitary maintenance and training are garbage so it could very well have fucked itself...had it not been hit by missiles first.

@ph4se2 It doesn't come standard though some are upgraded with it. Even those often run without it being operational though. It's not exactly useful in war as it gives away your presence (and thus not necessarily used for training). if this one had it, it clearly wasn't on or it would have alerted the jet long before the collision, and there's no TCAS warnings on either cockpit recording.
