@dogisgreat1 The vast majority of Iraqi deaths were the result of their neighboring "friends" sending in insurgents to "help" them well after the battle to remove Saddam was over by blowing up their hospitals and utilities, killing their elected government representatives, law enforcement, and military personel and using civilians as human shields against any who tried to stop them. The casualties from the actual battle to remove Saddam from power were quite low. The US's biggest mistake was leaving like we did. Iraq had a chance to be one of the few countries in the gulf region to make something of themselves and we left them to the wolves because things got a little ugly and our politicians didn't have the backbone to see it through.
