We should close the loophole that is the 2nd amendment as well I guess... take your fascism elsewhere
35
Even right wing biased polls show Walz with more favorability... just not as large a gap. Most people simply don't like Vance.
29
Trump's eternally inept campaign managers apparently.
16
Not many "celebrities" want anything to do with him.
12
Democrats are Americans too you know. They just have different views.
12
Canada still has birthright citizenship. In fact, it's broader than ours.
11
@Nicolas-Kage Not the proper venue for a roast comic. Especially one with such horrible delivery.
11
Study your history.
10
Boring, no drug fueled chainsaw mania...
9
Considering his other companies are failing as a result, is that really a good thing?
7
He's an edgy insult comic. That's his shtick. Trump's campaign managers had to know that before they brought him on.
6
@DFSelkirk Not even the sinister six could find an interpretation that would end birthright citizenship. The 14th amendment is clear and there are too many SCOTUS rulings that affirm that anyone within our borders are subject to our laws and thus under our jurisdiction. It would require a constitutional amendment.
6
Nice try, but those who have actually read the Constitution beyond the 2nd amendment know better.
6
They just want the responses to run through AI to look for certain keywords, vocabulary usage, etc. in order to profile ideology and party loyalty. You'd be surprised how accurate they could be with just five points. Many will likely go over that trying to look more productive.
5
Vance is too stiff and uncomfortable when speaking publicly and doesn't have the charisma to sling the poorly thoughout policies of his boss. It will likely not go well for him.
5
Comparing him to Vance boosts his favorability. Had the Republican party had any good candidates to run for President/Vice President, they'd be doing much better than they are.
5
KJV Christians aren't going to be very happy either since it uses the NIV stories...
5
Not sure God's worthy of such a high holy blessing. He's a bit too liberal and caring.
4
They don't want their kids to be taught, period. Then, they might grow up and vote intelligently.
3
@darkspd31 Out of touch with reality.
3
@shurnbrendt7581 More than just Democrats dislike him. As a centrist, I just find him to be cringe. A "never Trumper" who sold out for political advancement and who doesn't have the charisma to sling insults and poorly thoughtout policies as well as his boss does.
3
Yes, it does. Please stop voting until you actually understand the Constitution.
3
And Vance is Wormtongue
3
But it never says which God and does say the government can't favor a particular one. Nice try though.
3
But that would make political PR ambushes like this so much harder for Trump and company to pull off...
2
You likely grew up in the 80's or earlier when Georgia's education ranking was garbage...
2
Then he failed at his task.
2
@Red88FlatCaddillacZ88 allegedly
2
Yeah, he doesn't have the charisma to sell the lies as well as his boss does.

There's a lot of odd conflicts in the information on this. The actual CISD police department apparently only had a chief, four or five officers, and a detective and were woefully underequipped (their armor was ineffective against high velocity rifle rounds and they appear to have had only handguns and shotguns available to them). The bulk of the officers there appear to have been back up from the larger, properly equipped neighboring Uvalde PD (they're apparently the ones that had the $40M etc. not the CISD PD.) However, it was the CISD Chief who was in control of the situation and he definitely dropped the ball. The officers who first responded were CISD and they did attempt to reach the gunman but were driven back (after suffering grazing wounds and being unable to effectively engage the gunman with their handguns.) They then called for backup like they were supposed to. Nobody wants to say it but the most deadly mistakes were the teacher propping open the outer door and the two slain teachers who inexplicably failed to immediately close and lock the classroom doors upon hearing gunfire outside. All the others did. With the vast majority of the shooting and killing being done before backup arrived/while they were arriving, closing and locking those doors would likely have saved the most lives and made the gunman easier to deal with since he wouldn't have been able to lock himself in room for protection.

@JWade-bt1rd You'll think differently when you're older and wiser.
2
@derkaderkastan420 With a fanbase of edgy internet kids who never grew up...woo hoo...
2
A handful did...but quickly stopped.
2
He just failed to read the crowd...badly. Trump rally attendees are not his usual audience.
2
His list would run... -Ketamine -paid PoE2 farmers -Ketamine -something involving a chainsaw and a crypto scammer -Ketamine

Two very different venues and this time around, he simply didn't sell the comedy side of it. He just bombed with poorly thought up material.

There were no negotiations. He called her to inform her that he would be pausing tariffs. That's it. He did the same with Canada.
1
@dfgyuhdd No concessions were made by Mexico or Canada. In fact, a couple of provinces are maintaining their newly implemented export taxes and almost all provinces are continuing to remove American products from their shelves. Just what kind of negotiations do you think occurred?
1
This doesn't exactly match the information available... The actual CISD police department consists entirely of a chief, four officers (maybe five as there's a conflict between sources), and a detective (with three schools in their jurisdiction.) They were not issued adequate firepower or armor for a situation like this and are generally supposed to call in back up from a neighboring department when something is beyond their capabilities to handle (which they did after two of them at least tried to reach the gunman and were driven back.) The bulk of the officers who were eventually present do not appear to have been from the CISD PD. That said, the CISD chief was the one in charge of the operations and he definitely failed to properly handle the situation. The CISD officers who responded first however, appear to have done their jobs properly. Also, the school district's protocol specifically called for officers to be stationed at the high school and the middle school. The elementary school isn't mentioned. Most of the security funding for the district appears to have gone toward the other two schools as well. Blame should go towards the governing body behind those decisions too. The deadliest mistakes made that day came from whoever propped the outside door open and (though I hate to speak ill of the dead) the two teachers who, having heard gunfire outside, inexplicably failed to immediately close and lock the classroom doors despite having plenty of time to do so. They were the only ones who didn't. If the border patrol officers who eventually took care of things needed a key to get by those doors, the gunman would have been thwarted by them as well.

3/4 of the states

@luckykoi6918 It isn't about what they did. Like with social media data, they will use AI to look for keywords and vocabulary to profile ideology and party loyalty. This is a prelude to an ideology purge.
1
Hope he does it before the sun goes down... otherwise it could get... interesting.
1
You should look into which Texas politicians/school board members have money tied up in whatever group developed blue bonnet...the "pay to play" deal behind it reeks of someone making money off pushing it.
1
A political rally is not an appropriate venue. Especially for a comic whose timing and delivery were that pathetic. You need to sell the humor aspect of that kind of humor and he failed miserably.
1
Exactly, his delivery was terrible...almost like he meant it.
1
Paying extra to teach it means it will be forced in at least some districts.
1
He was a veteran who recently got DOGE'd from his job and became suicidal.
1
Was waiting for the old timey sheep crook to come from the side and yank him off the stage... Man he bombed
1
The simple answer is no. Trump's actions violated the Impoundment Control Act of 1974. Biden's didn't. The primary difference being that Trump withheld financial/economic aid while Biden withheld a weapons shipment. The latter falls under the Leahy Law, which supercedes the ICA.
1
And Conan stories for Crom.
