That's the message that the undecided voters will take if he refuses to accept the change. She'll debate him either way, but without hot mics, people will know that he was afraid to play without a handicap.

  10. Presidential debates have traditionally used hot mics. You can tell a lot about a candidate by how they behave themselves when their opponent is speaking. The old agreement was the equivalent of two old men agreeing to a golf handicap. There's no place for that in a real Presidential debate.

  12. The states refused to compromise their state rights to handle elections by giving into attempts from the executive branch of the federal government to meddle in them. The one branch the founding fathers left out of the loop intentionally when it came to elections.

  13. Nothing unconstitutional about it. Intimidating/slandering witnesses or others involved with a case is not protected speech. Former President Trump has shown himself to be incapable of behaving like a grown adult when making statements about those involved and thus a gag order is necessary.

  14. The posse comitatus act of 1878 gave Congress the power to allow such usage and, over time, they have enacted legislature to allow Presidents to do so during emergency situations, insurections, etc.

  15.  @Keys879  At least a few of those lawyers are going to be too busy trying to keep themselves out of prison to defend him. Also, lawyers don't tend to work pro bono for people like Trump and Trump's pretty much broke.
