Watch the full video. After the robber was down and clearly no longer a threat to anyone, the customer calmly stood over him and shot him three more times, once in the head, from point blank range. Defending oneself and others is a right. Delivering an unnecessary coup de gras to a defensless man isn't. That's why he left the scene before law enforcement arrived. He knew those last three shots were not fired in defense.

Nice of you to edit out the part where he calmly stood over the robber and shot him three times, once in the head, when he was clearly no longer a threat to anyone. As close as he was, he could just as easily have cleared the man's gun if he thought he was still a threat. The customer had a right to defend himself and others. He did not have the right to deliver an unnecesssry coup de gras to a defensless man.

@GETole Not if that perp ceases to be a threat before you've finished firing all of your rounds. The full video isn't being shown by many media outlets but after the robber was down and clearly no longer a threat to anyone, the customer calmly stood over him and shot him three more times, once in the head, from point blank range. Close enough that he could simply have cleared the man's gun instead if he thought he still posed any threat.

As an American, I would disagree. They would be better off with Canada.

It was reposted on his account. So the buck stops with him. Quot apologizing.

NATO should just send in military forces like they agreed to do in the deal that got Ukraine to give up their nuclear weapons (their only real deterrent against Russian invasion.) If it risks WWIII, then it risks WWIII. If they keep folding to Putin's bluffs, there will definitely be a world war in the next 5 to 10 years anyway. Might as well do it while the Russian military is in the sorry state it's currently in.

They aren't trying to stop him... they're simply opting not to have their city assist in a federal jurisdiction operation. Which is every city's right.

You might want to watch the full video (not shown here or on any other mainstream media outlet) before deciding how much honor to bestow upon him. After the robber was down and clearly no longer a threat to anyone, the customer calmly stood over him and shot him three more times, once in the head, from point blank range. He had a right to defend himself and/or others. He did not have the right to deliver an unnecessary coup de gras to a defenseless man. That's why he left before law enforcement arrived. He knew those last three shots were not fired in defense.

Or maybe just send over our military like we agreed to do through NATO as part of the deal that got Ukraine to give up their nuclear weapons (the only real deterrent they had against Russian invasion.)
2
Why would you wish them such harm?
2
They might want to consider closing the US military base there if Trump starts increasing the garrison... just saying. He's not exactly trustworthy, very impulsive, and refuses to rule out taking them militarily.
2
@peachykeen7634 Great, leave it up to something that can't even draw a mechanical clock with the requested time.
2
Or eat it all...

No one is violating federal law. Immigration is federal jurisdiction, not local. Sanctuary cities are simply opting not to assist in the matter.
2
Homan's so full of it. Immigration is federal jurisdiction, not local. Cities are not required to assist. All sanctuary cities are doing is opting not to assist. That's perfectly legal.
2
@Steve-yo4ld It's perfectly legal kid.

@singlebachelor Really? What has he done... and provide proof.

Our federal government already had one of the smallest workforces by population of any functional modern country (0.65% vs 2%+ for others). When Captain Ketamine is done, it won't function at all and He'll just divide up the money with the rest of the billionaires leaving the country a pile of sawdust.

NATO had a signed written agreement to defend Ukraine militarily should Russia invade that they have so far been too cowardly to uphold. The least they can do is supply him with what he needs. Besides, every Russian soldier and piece of equipment Ukraine destroys now is one less thing for NATO to have to destroy when a real world war breaks out in 5 to 10 years due to NATO's current cowardice.
1
They know the law, and they're not breaking it. He might want to brush up on it, though.

@KP11520 Actually. ICE is under Homeland Security which is executive branch and thus the head of the executive branch can decide how they go about doing their duties. Under international signed agreement, asylum seekers are to be housed on the "safe" side of the border until their immigration hearings can be held. So yes, a President can let them in. If you really want to blame someone for the problem, look no further than Trump's first term. His policy changes led to an astronomical backlog in immigration hearings thus making it take far, far, longer than it should to this day to process the asylum seekers hearings. Just wait until he starts his roundups and has to feed, house, and provide medical care to every single one of them until they've had their hearing (as is required under the Constitution.) They'll be in camps for years...or at least until Congressional funding runs out for it.

@JamminClemmons Please seek mental help kid.

If NATO continues to refuse to uphold their agreement to defend Ukraine militarily should Russia ever invade, there will definitely be a world war in 5 to 10 years. Now is the best chance to nip Comrade Putin's delusions of grandeur in the bud and NATO's going to pass it up out of cowardice.
1
Yes he does. The full video is not shown here or on any other mainstream media outlet but after the robber was down and clearly no longer a threat, the customer calmly stood over him and shot him three more times, once in the head, from point blank range. One has a right to defend oneself and others. One does not have the right to deliver an unnecessary coup de gras to a defenseless man. From the distance he fired the three shots, he could just as easily have cleared the man's gun if he thought the guy was still a threat.

The EU will come out of this Trump nonsense stronger than they were. The US will be the one to suffer in the long run. Things don't go well when you isolate your country. Ask North Korea.
1
The cities are following the law. They aren't required to assist in something that is federal jurisdiction. Edit: If that lack of assistance makes Homan's job more difficult... too bad for Homan.

Until it actually happens and little things you took for granted disappear... but OK

Grow a pair.

@minebraft3035 Depends on what part of Ukraine they're in and when the call actually took place. Roughly a week before this video was posted, the temperatures in Mariupol and a few other cities weren't getting above freezing and hadn't been for awhile.
1
Considering NATO hung Ukraine out to dry by refusing to honor the agreement they had which got Ukraine to give up their nuclear weapons (their only real deterrent to Russian invasion,) Ukraine has done far better than expected. They simply don't have an answer for Russia's long range artillery and missile strikes. Since NATO isn't going to send in troops and air power like they agreed to, the least they can do is give them what they need to hold out.
1
North Korea may well find themselves glowing in the dark if they don't sit down and shut up while the adults are talking...
1
That doesn't necessarily make it fake. Russian soldiers with Ukrainian accents aren't all that rare. Could be Crimean, or from a family who moved to Russia when the old Russian backed regime failed etc. (Though combined with some other things, does make a bit more sketchy.)
1
@EAW-s7l And has yet to provide proof. Try again.
1
@evage99 There's no actual proof on their official government website, so I'm not sure what you're talking about.
1
Wants to get rid of bureaucracy... does the most bureaucratic thing ever and demands useless paperwork be done by all on a weekly basis. Stupidity like this is why Tesla and X are failed companies.

@zbigniewrichard8291 Much of which links to X for the "read more".

@mattnoponen179 It's the horse tranquilizer Musk uses recreationally on a regular basis.
1
I know where there's plenty of ammo...the US military. Maybe we should...I don't know...maybe...send them over to help like we agreed to do through NATO as part of the deal that had Ukraine give up their nuclear weapons (which were their only real deterrent against Russian invasion.) Between Russia, NATO, and Ukraine, the only party to uphold their end of that deal so far has been Ukraine...We and NATO have completely hung them out to dry. It's a shame and a disgrace.
1
@Shane-bx8ws Do some research beyond truth social kid. "Sanctuary cities" are simply cities that have passed ordinances preventing local assets from assisting in immigration related operations. Which is completely legal. Now go to bed.
