  2. You need to be careful with UBI and other government programs. I lived in the USSR for 20 years and it wasn't pretty. Secure, yes. Poor and secure. Free housing? Sure but you may wait 10-20 years to get one. What's the point of subsidized groceries if the shelves were empty?
