  3. Most regular folk kept their cars for years, transferring later to the kids. Slightly used cars were more money than brand new since there was no waiting list. Five year old LADA could be sold for 13-15K when the new LADA was about 9K.

  4.  @TheMCD1989  We had gas stations, but not many. Gas was pretty cheap. Or you could buy it even cheaper from anyone who drove government vehicles

  6. Not really. I started disliking the Soviet way of life only in my teenage years (I was born in Kyiv in 1971) but my childhood was great. Way more fun than my own children (I live in Michigan now)
