  4. we done a battalion level exercise in Oman in the 90s in which we found the 5.56 was utterly useless at desert/mountain range in a contact. So we formed a platoon in each company into a gun group made up entirely of Gimpies to complete the next few weeks ex. They should've learnt from this for the coming decade.
