@gratius1394 the west train constantly for that type of war believe me,,hence why desert storm ground campaign lasted 100 hours.

@BartBart22 what a load of bs
1
@AndRei-yc3ti it trains constantly with volunteer armies for war. Don't assume it's nor ready or the equipment isn't there.
1
@AndRei-yc3ti that was UN forces in Korea.
1
@AndRei-yc3ti negative, you can tell how a modern army trains by its performance in war. NATO has always trained for conventional war foremost not coin ops. Ever been to Grafenwoehr?
1
@AndRei-yc3ti have you trained in a NATO army? Coin training is only carried out by mission specific regiments or units. The rest of the forces funnily enough train for conventional warfare and constantly as i know. Never has our mission doctrine been reliant on Airpower or under reliant on artillery. They're just cogs in the machine.

@AndRei-yc3ti I've read that report in depth before. All countries numbers declined whilst defence spend went on the pointless 2 wars.It still doesn't hint towards anything about coin training being the emphasis today. Defence spending is increasing amongst NATO to a level again that Russia will fail to keep up with. And that's without the extra boost from having Finland & Sweden onboard now. A lot of the Ukraine aid went on setting up production lines and factories in NATO countries.

@AndRei-yc3ti it's a report of which many are produced and a lot have been since sept. Speak to other analyst's and they'll offer a different set of figures and an outlook. For instance Institute.global feb 2025 gives the opposite view. NATO is still more than a match militarily for Russia with what it has now and what it is producing.
1
@AndRei-yc3ti and this is Germany,a country that dragged it's heals spending anything on defence sometimes dropping below 1% of GDP.
1
@AndRei-yc3ti no it isn't whatsoever. Its always spent peanuts since the wall came fown.is it the same as Poland say?
1
@AndRei-yc3ti The US still has vast armed forces so a backlog of new equipment coming through isn't a problem.
1
@AndRei-yc3ti this is where you are talking complete bollocks. Has NATO sent any F35s,F22sRafales,typhoons,tomahawks etc etc What about those thousands of M1a2s? he US has sent 31 of it's oldest a1 models! It's hardly spent or sent anything in the numbers game.
