  4.  @OhAncientOne  She seems one of the better science YouTubers. I am not an astronomer, though, so take that with a grain of salt. She passes the smell-test of a physicist with the way she does the analysis of science papers, which most of the others do not. I think she also threads the needle between being understandable to an interested layman and technically accurate well enough most of the time.

  5.  @OhAncientOne  Let me put it this way... nothing is "supposed to be this way or another" in science. Science is no a p***ng match with nature. We observe, we describe. A very naive understanding of quantum mechanics suggests that there should be no net electrons and no net positively charged nuclei. That's a statement about ones naive understanding. It's not an actual statement about nature. ;-)

  7. I agree. We can easily tell from the average human medical record that god is right handed, suffers from Alzheimer's (which explains why he has forgotten about us) and weak vision, which makes him prefer light skinned people and overlook all suffering. :-)

  10. Optical measurements. You can demonstrate it with ordinary glucose, no need to get some DNA. That direction doesn't matter can be seen on a trivial mechanical model. You can't screw a right handed screw into a left handed nut by turning the nut around.

  15. Probably not. One would have to find a mechanism that links the rotation of macroscopic atmospheric flows to the microscopic level. I am not sure one can, but I didn't think about it very carefully.
