Sabine is trying to become troll #1 here. She is hard at work to beat even Trump at that game. :-)

He's done just fine with that so far. He never got to orbit. :-)

That's what they said about the Glomar Explorer... until it turned out to be hardware for the clandestine mission to raise a nuclear submarine from the ground of the ocean. If you think that there is no context here, then you aren't thinking.

@WileCoyoteMoncure-Smith There is no high risk for cancer in LEO. The medical risk on the ISS consists mostly of conditions like bone and muscle loss. Humans can't stay for long in higher orbits because of the radiation belts. Those are, indeed, deadly. We have to fly through them quickly and then we are safe again, at least for approx. a year without having to worry about excessive radiation shielding. Humans can also indefinitely stay on Moon and Mars because there is plenty of radiation shielding material available. All we have to do is to bring a bulldozer to pile up some dirt and the problem is solved for good. None of that is the problem. The problem is that Bezos has built the equivalent of a propeller driven plane that flies for the first time while Musk is almost done with the equivalent of an Airbus 380.

Musk is already where he wants to be. He is building a virtual monopoly on satellite based communication and he has the government's purse for the next decade of military deployments. Bezos is basically just an insurance policy against the failure of SpaceX. You can tell by the mere existence of these rockets that the US government wants to deploy thousands of tons into orbits from LEO to the Moon. You can almost certainly bet on it that some of those payloads will be nuclear weapons.

One does not have to be an incel to find the Cybertruck attractive. I like it and would love to have one, I just can't afford one. I can't really afford any new car. My 17 year old beater will have to suffice for as long as it can take the beating. ;-)

Errr... Bezos who sells megatons of cheap crap from China for a living and runs some of the largest server farms on the planet? How much Chinese cooking wine have you been drinking? :-)
