I am not telling you what to do, but I reserve the right to laugh about your poor decisions. ;-)

Musk is a hard atheist. His only religions are himself and money. ;-)

There are plenty of young people in the world. You can import like a hundred million of them from Nigeria alone. ;-)

What are childless people missing out on, exactly? They all have been children, so they know exactly how this thing plays out. They don't need to see the other angle of a sad, sad play. ;-)

Why would I give my genes to a kid? I don't see any rational reason to burden somebody with kidney stones and back pain. If a researches wants my DNA (they don't), then they can have it for free. I can donate a cheek swap in a minute flat. Why go through decades of financial and emotional child support? ;-)
1
@piotrr5439 See, you gave a good reason right there why your parents shouldn't have had kids. ;-)

Where does this childlike belief come from that a capable humanoid robot will be cheap???? Heck, cars can only do four things well: accelerate, break, go left and go right and boy are they expensive. A useful humanoid robot will have to do hundreds and thousands of things well. ;-)

I never wanted any children, neither my own nor those of others. Children are annoying. :-)
1
Let me help you with that cold basement of yours. ;-)

Why would the fertility rate go back up? The people who are having a lot of children right now are the ones who are absolutely hapless in a modern world. They don't have an education and they don't even have intellectual curiosity.

Striving for identical outcomes is not a moral goal. It's a religious delusion.
1
Huh? People in the middle ages had time??? Seriously? ;-)
1
@patcartier8171 Awh, you are so cute when you are feeling sorry for yourself because somebody invalidated your entire nonsense with a single question. ;-)
1
@patcartier8171 Yes, you wrote bullshit and now you are begging for more attention. ;-)
1
Not really. Japan is simply a few years ahead of the rest of the world. One can't argue with facts. One has to learn to live with them.
1
@hansdampf2284 So your children were born into an unhappy marriage. OK. NEXT! ;-)

You can get those taxpayers from any number of countries. Nigeria has over a hundred million in the right age group alone. Why do you think is China going to Africa? They are losing their own cheap worker pool and need a new one.
1
@prdddac8606 That's a mythology that Africa has invented for itself because it doesn't want to admit that its poverty is systemic. It keeps wasting generation after generation by denying its people education.
1
So you are saying that rich, educated atheists are going to pick strawberries for you? Sure, kid, sure. ;-)
1
I don't think that was careless. He merely showed you what he is. It starts with an a and ends on a hole. ;-)
1
That is exactly right. WE in the US can because we have a culture of immigrants. Asian countries don't have that and they are culturally much more insular, so they have a much bigger problem.

Dying painlessly can be arranged for less than $20. Not sure why that part is supposed to be a problem. Dying is the easy part. It's living that's hard and expensive.

People are typically in their mid 40s to mid 50s before somebody lets them "run a particle collider". So even under best world circumstances the third generation at that age will get us out to roughly the year 2100 or so. You can bet your life on it that by that time most if not all intellectual work will be done by AIs and no more than a few handful of people will be able to keep up with their output in any area of life.
1
Yes, you will get assistance... just not enough of it. ;-)

Nobody needs to hear a thing like JD Vance make a screeching sound. :-)

Breeders... when a v*g*n* and a d*c* meet Dunning and Kruger. ;-)
