That's your problem. :-) A worker owned cooperative is simply not socialism. It's a form of capitalism where the workers are the shareholders and active manages of the company. You can set up any LLC that way, your only limitation is with LLCs taxed as S corps, where you can't have more than 100 shareholders, I believe. You will, of course, run into the usual problems with early vs. late investors and the question how you re-distribute growth. Whatever you do, somebody will be screwed and there will be a lot of bad blood in the company because of that. Professional shareholders who do investments as a business can deal with that problem a bit more rationally than inexperienced individuals, but I, personally would not want to work in a cooperative for that reason, alone.

Because that is what really happens. :-) Or tell you what. Consider Apple going private and distributing itself among its employees. That's $2.5 trillion market cap divided by 150,000 employees equals... over $16 million per employee. Payable on the day of the conversion... and if you can't, then they have to let you go. :-)

  38. Capitalism can not produce quality of life because it is not meant to produce quality of life. What is can produce are all the ingredients for quality of life, though. It is up to governments to take those ingredients and to improve the quality of life for everybody. Take capitalism out of the picture, however, and you don't even have ingredients.

If a definition takes an entire volume to explain (like yours), then it is propaganda in itself and completely useless. The capitalism and socialism pair are defining opposite ways to run an economy. In capitalism it's private control, in socialism its state control. Absolutely no admixture of social classes or historical theory is needed. Those only come in once you talk about Marxism, Leninism etc.. You clearly don't have a working education, my friend. Your entire mind is filled with noise.
