  2.  @jake_Adventure  The uncertainty relation is a property of linear operators like the Fourier transform. Wherever you are switching from time to frequency representations there is an uncertainty relation of this kind involved. That happens for water waves, acoustic waves, wave on ropes... totally classical physics.
