It means that the next variant will cause the next peak. ;-)

@xenostudios2.086 Not, it means that the pandemic will continue until basically everybody in Earth has been vaccinated.

Canada is half a continent. You can travel for days and days and days within Canada if you want. Just how much space does a person need to be happy?
1
In what universe did that happen? Certainly not in this one. :-)

I heard the "end stage" speak half a dozen times now. That's just wishful thinking, folks. This thing is going to come back as long as there are unvaccinated people left.
1
@nzer57 Dude, none of these countries are fully vaccinated. Where do you get your bullshit from? Your own rear or are you using somebody else's as a supply? :-)
1
It doesn't infect me because I am not mingling with people. The only way to get infected is by meeting infected people.
1
@heartslessons6243 What about "I am not mingling with other people" did you not understand just now? Or do you believe that viruses are being miraculously transmitted over wireless networks? :-)

The Chinese have been defeating covid since Q1 2020. They and nobody else.

Testing for testing's sake is completely irrelevant. It only appeals to people who have OCD and can't stand it that not everything in life is perfect. The only relevant metric is how much covid stresses the healthcare systems and that, of course, is always known precisely.

@LJ-wo1wf Whether the numbers are rising or falling can be easily seen by the ER triage nurses. Again, unless you are testing to prevent future infection by others, which most people don't do because they don't really give a frell, then testing doesn't do a thing.
1
@LJ-wo1wf Nobody "needs" the test results. You need to get tested before you get on a plane. That will reduce infections somewhat. Truthfully, even for that purpose you would have to test negative, then quarantine for three to five days and get tested, again, to make sure that the plane is covid free. Testing for testing's sake is magical thinking. There are, unfortunately, a lot of three year old magical thinkers around.

@LJ-wo1wf Unless you act on what you see, the act of seeing is completely irrelevant. The only relevant cases of the virus are the ones that clog up the healthcare system. If you were to test everybody daily and you would quarantine and contract trace, then, yes, it would make all the difference in the world. The only country that does that is China. Even Singapore gave up on it.

So when did things began going wrong with your mind? Early childhood or when you were a teenager?
