  1. Because China can't attack anything that is actually valuable. Pork is a TINY issue. Total exports are value at $1.8 billion a year and they seem to come mostly from Spain, Denmark and the Netherlands. Those are three major car manufacturing countries, aren't they? ;-)

  10. I don't understand what is stopping China from making EVs in the US. Tesla has been making EVs in China for years. All you are really saying is that the West is more agile in producing in China than China is in producing in the West. That's not good advertisement for China. It shows that China is not competitive, not even at the level of industrial production. ;-)

  24. More and more rich Chinese are enjoying those luxury products outside of China. There is a constant outflux of educated, affluent Chinese. They are taking their children with them. If we want to be nasty, one could say that the rats are leaving the sinking ship. ;-)

  25. Yes. Just like China has subsidies for solar panels. The EU imports solar panels worth over $25 billion a year. It exports pork to China worth $1.8 billion. It's safe to say that the EU receives more Chinese subsidies due to cheap renewable energy products than China receives from the EU through pork sales. China is such a loser. ;-)

  34.  @xman1533  China's population is shrinking irreversibly (it has 4-2-1-0 families now) and even with that it has youth unemployment rates of 20%. 10% of all young Chinese men will never be able to have a wife and will either be involuntary celibates or will have to resort to prostitution to satisfy their sexual needs (putting millions of poor Chinese women over the course of the 21st century into the world's oldest profession as a consequence). India has a GDP per capita of $2400 (below Bangladesh now) and is ranked around 130th in the world by GDP and PPP per capita. India's poor men are even worse off than Chinas and the Indian sexual slave trade with girls from poor provinces is bar none in the world. Where do you see winners there, exactly? These are highly unstable societies with enormous structural problems that are leading to endless misery. ;-)

  36. I can't drive what China doesn't bring to the US. Nothing stops Chinese car makers from bringing their products over. Tesla built a Gigafactory in China in less than a year. What stops the Chinese from building one in the US in six months? They are simply admitting that they can't even compete with US innovation when it comes to building production facilities in another country. China is a very large country... of complainers. ;-)
