The problem is that American liberal arts are an intellectually void exercise similar to French existentialism. Eternal navel gazing changes nothing about the world. The world is being changed in the physics, chemistry, biology, medicine and law departments. Most kids are simply not smart enough to succeed in either. That requires actual smarts.

  32. On average 1000 people died every day since April 2020. Not sure how we were "lucky". Since Americans aren't acting rationally and the virus keeps mutating and even mild omicron kills 2000 unvaccinated people a day, it is perfectly possible that over the course of the next three years another million people will die. At some point we will have to remove people who test positive with covid from regular hospitals and send them to special covid death wards.
