  1. Meanwhile...worldwide EV sales are hitting 18% this year. They will be 20-25% next year and easily overtake ICE sales by end of the decade. Oil producers know this and they have to play a long game because of the investment in new fields. Their business model is literally going to dry up within the next two decades. The only way to extract money from the remaining oil in the ground is to sell it cheaply while they can. So why would the US not flood the world with the cheapest shale they can produce?

  3. US supremacy is pretty independent of who holds the power. There was a reason why Russia didn't make a move on Ukraine while Trump was president. The big stick was in the hands of a crazy person. But then, of course, Putin misjudged Biden completely. Biden is not the nice guy that he like to play in public. ;-)

  4. They have been talking it up for forty years, but they simply didn't have the political crowbar to move anything. Now a few crazies figure they can use Ukraine for that purposed.
