  5. The US doesn't need to test. We have scientists who can design a functional new nuke before lunch using the perfectly debugged design codes. Where we are lacking is investment in production facilities. I don't know if we can make new pits easily.

  6.  @bobbyfred3761  This is all irrelevant because these are not legally enforceable contracts to begin with. Nuking your own soil is also hardly an escalation. At most it's an environmental disaster. If the Russians do it to spike us it is, at most, the stupidity of the attention troll.
