I have met a few Russians in my life... and with exception of one I would not call any of them "good people". ;-)

What you don't know is that the Obama administration is most likely responsible for Russia being blind on the battlefield, right now. They just made nice with Russia, but behind everyone's back they sabotaged the Russian space capabilities to the point where almost none are left. Putin was very upset about that from what I have seen. :-)
2
Yes he will. They just like to play political theatre to the last minute.

Putin wouldn't have to wait that long. Poland will come to Ukraine's defense long before Russia reaches the Polish border if push comes to shove. That's why freezing the conflict is the only remaining hope for Putin. He knows that he has a NATO war at his hands if Russia advances. Which it doesn't, of course.

Because there will be in the future. It's all staged as in "well calculated stages of escalation".
1
Definitely the latter.

Well, now it's selling like hotcakes. ;-)

@lafa1432 Now it's selling like gilded hotcakes. :-) Just wait until the F-16 and F-35 orders are coming in. ;-)

@lafa1432 The F-16 platform certainly still has a long lifetime. I don't know if there is enough production tooling left to ramp up beyond the four a month that they are still making. The advantage over the F-35 is cost... although the Gripen seems to win that category if I remember correctly. What seems obvious to me is that having reserves of highly capable platforms will be appreciated post-Ukraine. The time of "lean" militaries is probably over.

Ukraine knows that the Polish know that the only thing between Poland and Russia is... Ukraine. Relax. :-)

If your children don't listen to you, then that's your problem. Not ours. Unless, of course, you want us to take your children away from you? Is that what you want? ;-)

@Zer-o-ne We tried prohibition... remember? Guys like you began to make moonshine and thousands died of methanol poisoning. :-)
1
@Zer-o-ne We tried to keep it safe from you... it obviously didn't work. Look at you... you are talking like a drunk. ;-)
1
Did you have a stroke just now? ;-)

The US didn't spend that money in those countries. It spent most of it right here in the US. We are spending close to a trillion a year to keep the world a safer place. There has also been no reluctance to help Ukraine. The US has been giving Ukraine vital intelligence long before the war even began. Without that intelligence Ukraine would have been overrun for sure. Moreover, it is highly likely that the US has been sabotaging the military space resources of Russia for a very long time. That Russia is virtually blind on the battlefield is the result of decades of active US defense posture.

And China. Both need to be removed.
1
The only way for Ukraine to assure piece is to destroy Russia. The only way to that is by taking Crimea back. That's the entire calculus.
1
Yes, all three of them will vote against it. ;-)
