  2. Nobody is afraid. Ukraine was told right from the beginning of this conflict that the aim here is the total destruction of Russian military assets in a grinding conflict. They are fully aware that that is the only way to deal with Russia once and for all. A quick defeat without a million Russian casualties won't help anybody. We are getting there. Russia will have lost approx. half a million soldiers by the mid of next year, with a further million or more wounded. It will have lost most of its heavy armor and artillery and will be depleted of air defense systems and missiles. Give this conflict at least another year, then Russia is ripe. ;-)
