  1. It's not the installation that goes wrong in Linux. It's the upgrading and the package management. So, yes, freshly minted Linux distros are all great... just don't try to use them with anything that's not in the box, already, and you will be fine. ;-)

  5. In free societies laws are not retroactive, so even if pornography became illegal you could not be punished for your past activity. In non-free societies they can do with you whatever they like anyway.
