  1. You guys lost me at the csv parser example. If you need performance then handling csv data is a bad idea, already. So what you are talking about here is building a bad solution or a slightly better bad solution on top of a bad solution.

  2. The first thing you have to ask there is why you want to do that in the first place. It's not a good engineering practice to build complexity at that level. It is a necessity if you believe in form over function, like hard core OOP folks do, but that's the wrong approach to problem solving.
