I very much doubt Hitler and Stalin were seeing themselves as implementing Hegel's ideas. They were simply installing themselves as dictators.

Why are you telling us that your family has nothing better to do than to create nonsensical text all day long? ;-)

@Redacted724 It's not just her. You didn't do better without college, either. ;-)
1
@Redacted724 No, it isn't. Maybe that's why I am not much into bullshit. ;-)
1
@NullParadigm Hitler's and Stalin's "philosophy" originated from their narcissistic personality disorders.
1
We invented the gods. Of course they need us. Without us they would not exist, not even on the pages of nonsensical books.

@@dostoyevsky1222 I don't understand the question. Is there supposed to be a difference? An "orthodox" Christian eats the flesh and drinks the blood of the cult leader every weekend. How is that not lunacy? :-)
1
Well, this is what you get if you follow Plato: 2500 years of nonsense.
1
@@dostoyevsky1222 Plato is they guy who ruined philosophy by pretending that it does not need to listen to evidence. He was just completely full of himself and most philosophers followed in those footsteps.
1
@@dostoyevsky1222 Philosophy: 2500 years of talk, zero result. Modern science: 400 years of experimentation and observation and a completely changed and much better world. Dude, let me give you some more attention. Your basement is cooling rapidly. ;-)

@@dostoyevsky1222 Plato is the guy who separated philosophy from sanity. He explicitly said that one shall not look at the shadows on the cave wall. That's what science does: it makes precision measurements of shadows. Maybe paying more attention in science class would have clarified the difference between things that work (experimentation and observation) and things that don't (being full of oneself)? ;-)

@@dostoyevsky1222 Yes, that was bullshit. Plato meant what he said. I am a physics PhD, by the way. I also do what I say. It just happens that what I do works. What Plato says and does does not. :-)
1
@@dostoyevsky1222 I was kind of done with philosophy when I read Plato's allegory of the cave, which is self-serving bullshit worthy of a used car salesman, and that Socrates, Aristotle, and Plato were all in favor of slavery. At that point you can safely ditch every word of these guys and not suffer any harm. Quite the contrary. ;-)
1
@@dostoyevsky1222 I dislike bullshit. Show me a philosopher who is not a bullshitter but a quantitative analyst and we talk. You can't. The end. ;-)
1
@@dostoyevsky1222 Did you notice that not a single philosopher even reaches the standards of research required for a high school science project? I bet you didn't. :-)
1
@@dostoyevsky1222 You are correct. We should cancel science and do more philosophy. Why don't we start with something really small? No more analgesics and anesthetics during dental procedures. How would you feel about that? A good reading of Kant while the dentist performs a root canal. :-)
1
@@dostoyevsky1222 Why don't you perform an experiment? And why does it suddenly smell like chicken in here? ;-)
1
@@dostoyevsky1222 I haven't, but I can still hear his screams in the dentist chair. ;-)

It explains the mess in my room? My Mom did a better job explaining that to me when I was little than Hegel does. ;-)
