It's highly unlikely that the blood in your urine came from ingesting such a small amount of NSAIDs.

In general NSAIDs have damaging effects on mucosal linings. The mechanisms seem to be different in the stomach than in the small intestine, but they seem to be roughly equally frequent. More water intake might help and constipation can be relieved effectively in plenty of different ways, both with dietary changes and over the counter medications. The potential damage to the small intestine, however, is more worrying.

Ibuprofen reduces inflammation, which is a very good thing. It has systemic side effects like most drugs which need to be managed properly. People who despite side effect management can't tolerate the drug have to switch to something else. I find that meloxicam works far better for me with far fewer side effects. It does, of course, require a prescription from a doctor.

Just like you didn't mention that diclofenac (highly effective in topical form) does not have that problem and that misoprostol is highly effective in protection of cartilage. All you have to do is go to the right doctor who knows all of these things and who will prescribe the correct medications for YOUR condition.

Ibuprofen isn't indicated for long term use (and several months is definitely long term use). Ibuprofen is also not the right choice for backpain. Meloxicam is far more effective, but it is a prescription medication. That you got kidney disease exclusively from taking an NSAID is highly unlikely, though.

Men are dealing with other things. Don't worry, we have our own cross to bear (and it can not be relieved with pain killers, either).
