  1. He wasn't talking about China going away. He was talking about the one-party system going away. The most likely replacement will be a military dictatorship and eventually potential dissolution.

  2. Nobody knows the CCP anymore. Xi destroyed it single handedly. Look, the man only knew one thing in his entire life: how to move Xi up the ladder. He doesn't care about anything else. And that is not what China needs. China needs leadership that cares about China.

  3. The problem is that it's not the 14th century any longer. Xi is misplaced in the modern world. What wins is cooperation, not confrontation.

  4. China is not even Xi. Xi is a projectionist. He is projecting his own ambitions onto a canvas that is not able to reflect them. The Chinese are incredibly private people. They don't want to be out there. They want well-being for themselves and their families but not military adventures that China was never capable of.
