Yes, because oil drilling is free. But wait... let's say you put ten gallons of gasoline in your car every week for twelve years... how much in resources is that? 10*52*12 gallons = 6240 gallons. A gallon of gasoline weighs about 6lbs, so during its average life that car will use 37,000lbs of gasoline, which came from 70,000 lbs of crude oil. Talk about resource heavy.... Jeff, you need to stop drinking the cool aide of the oil and gas industry. ;-)

We are at most 5 years away from half of all new car sales being BEVs. In ten years most manufacturers will sell their last new ICE model. Major R&D on ICE technology has stopped years ago. The ICE is dead for mainstream use. And small engines? Seriously? Did anybody go to Home Depot lately? Lithium battery operated gardening tools are the rage. Nobody wants to mess with a stinky, oil leaking two stroke engine if they don't have to. That was a necessary evil. It's not necessary any longer.
