Not sure about that. Modern birds with very large beaks swallow their prey whole, so it has to fit inside the beak and down their throats. I find it more likely that this species was hunting for "bite sized" prey. A human weighs about a third to half as much as this species and is about half its size, so it's clearly outside of that window. Children beware, though.

The planet won't survive, either. It will be getting hotter, then eventually go through a phase like Venus and at the end it will be swallowed by the son. That's just a typical lifecycle in the universe. Nothing to get excited about.

That's for modern vegetation. You can be sure that vegetation at that time had mechanisms to make it more fire resistant (like higher water content). Dry plant material would combust significantly faster, but there may have been way less around of it back then.

@ Biology adapts very quickly and it had very long time to adapt to the higher oxygen content. The "all else being equal" model doesn't work for these scenarios.

Only because they don't leave fossilized samples, not because they weren't there. It is my understanding that we have samples of dinosaur parasites that are similar to modern ones.

Bird flu wants you to hold you know what. Humans were also generally hunting large mammals all the time. They are the best protein source and as long as you cook them really well you are OK. What you can not do, unless you want to contract mammalian parasites, is to eat the meat raw.
