  1. Spinoza couldn't afford to be a hard atheist. The people of his time didn't look gently on those folks and he wasn't rich enough not to care. Free choice of religion didn't exist in Spinoza's world, yet. To look at it any other way is to be completely blind to historical reality.

  6.  @HealthyDev  I did it only once... while I was looking for a new job. The project I was on wasn't even bad and neither were the colleagues or the boss, but I had personal reasons. My next company was like family. I loved it there. I have heard horror stories, though, from someone who was in a large company that is best known for its databases. The restrooms seem to have been crowded. :-)
