@patriciamillin-j3s Exactly. I've voted at a Fire Dept, church, old folks home. Libraries or ANY high school, can be polling stations as well. But hey, Reps don't want everyone voting. Just having babies....

@patriciamillin-j3s Understood lol. I had just turned 18yrs old when he ran. And as a black male, Clinton happened to appear on shows I watched at the time (Arsenio Hall), playing the saxophone. I knew of Reagan and Bush Sr, but Clinton got down in the mud and made mud pies with us lower folks (so I felt at the time). When my parents said they were voting for the independent running against Clinton, that's when I registered to vote. I'm sure you know, most black families go to church on Sunday like clockwork and my GM made sure we did. I cannot believe in the 'SON' (walked on water/parted the Red Sea/etc etc), but I do believe in a 'higher power.' And as 'GOD' is the only name given, that is as far as I believe. I can't put stock in a book written by man of some magical being--with bright skin, shiny hair, etc--when 99% of the folks born in that area, had dark hair/skin/eyes...lol

@patriciamillin-j3s And he played well (unless it was a dub-over kinda thing)! Agree and thank you. I'm sure the majority of the world does. We just tend to follow the red dot flashing across the floor. And yes, that 'universal consciousness' (love that!) does comes with many names: Jesus, Jehovah, Allah, The Almighty, The Creator--same page to sell it short. ROTFLMAO! Last line is priceless! Strangely true on some many levels, on top of, the suspension of disbelief. I mean, "Moses" wasn't a prototype...

@patriciamillin-j3s I hope so...lol I can agree. As there seems to be more atheist walking around today. And they are still good people. So chalk that up to a paradox. What gets me, is how folks try to use the bible/teaching against others. I mean, isn't that an oxymoron? 'GOD' wasn't about dumping on others and using a bible as their hammer.... Well, last I checked anyway.

@patriciamillin-j3s EXACTLY! When I hear those words, “the bible says…” My brain instantly takes a vacation. Because the majority of the time, some self-righteous fool is trying to prove some BS point, while taking the bible out of context. And the only time I tend to use that phrase, is when I'm debunking some self-righteous fool. Like when it comes to abortion/the bible (#Numbers reference). As that saying goes: an eye for an eye, can leave everyone blind...lol

@patriciamillin-j3s Oh wow. You hit the nail on the head! And I love breaking out that bit of info for "pro-lifers." But here's the one that really bakes their noodle. Leviticus 27:6 Both those passage dismantle their BS talking point on so many levels, they try to us the US Constitution instead (not sure how it works in your neck of the woods).

@patriciamillin-j3s Nice! (I'm a bit older, so I'll just say: my first time voting was for Pres Clinton. And local elections Gov/Mayor/etc) That is speedy. Is it like that in most areas or just your area? (My areas are easy to vote as well, but I know it's not as easy for all) I would 100% agree with your theory. More so, when the population shift in America is causing their fear! ("the browning of America") And yes, it has nothing to do with religion. Numbers 5:11-31 (unfaithful wife) in all bibles old/new, makes it pretty clear...
