The Great Recession started in late 2007 when we were already in Afghanistan and Iraq. Unless it is World War III these third world, sideshow interventions won't do crap for the economy or help the average American unless they are in government or have a MIC job.

@1krani Because the CIA like most intelligence agencies adapt to changing times and government structures to maintain their power regardless of the state actor so long as it is in the bureaucratic, shadow government's interest.
