It is a proxy war because Ukraine is barely hanging on because of Western aid and them too chickenshit to get involved themselves. Meanwhile, so-called sanctions don't mean shit to Russia when they have unlimited natural resources inside their border and the world's largest economy, China, is openly funding them and right on their border yet your governments won't do shit to China because your corporations love the slave labor and corruption there nor do they want to appear "racist" so they won't do shit to hold them accountable. It's all one big joke.
