I've had 4. 3 of them I had no idea were haunted places. All during the daytime, all sober, and had witnesses for two of them. I will go in order. 1) Staying in a boarding house in England supposed to be haunted either by a teacher or student who murdered the teacher. Was in a bath one time and heard what sounded like someone tapping their fingers underneath me. Had a teacher with us who while sleeping all of a sudden felt someone choking here only to wake up with no one around. Maybe the poltergeist of the student who hated teachers which is why she was probably attacked. She was a non-believer. 2) Working on a tear down job at University of Maryland. Inside an old road inn on campus. Hallway with numerous rooms on top floor. While looking down hall I notice what looks like a gray child peering around the corner to quickly disappear back in to the room. There should be no children in the demolition area. I go to investigate to find there is no one there and there was only one way in and out where I was standing. Room was completely empty so nowhere to hide. I later find out place is haunted by two children from the late 18th century when the place was built. 3) This one also on University of Maryland campus doing the same job above but in Marymount Hall. This was the first one with a witness, also non-believer. While doing more demolition work I am holding a ladder steady while my coworker takes down ceiling tile. I am looking down a hall. There is a chemistry room on the right. One way in and I am watching it whole time, no other way to sneak in without me knowing. Room had lights off. All of a sudden lights turn on and off like a human deliberately messing with it. Then my coworker says he spots what looks like a shadow person moving across the other room since he can see through the ceiling. Electrical system and lights in the room were in good working order never an issue. The light switch itself is a heavy industrial one that would make a lot of noise if someone was manipulating it and I would hear it. None of that happened when the lights were messed with by a paranormal entity. Later I come to find out a professor dropped dead during a lecture many years ago. Apparently his spirit haunts the place and plays an old piano in the attic around midnight every night. 4) This place I knew was haunted being Antietam battlefield and all. Whole time I was there I had a shortness of breath and a stabbing sensation in my ribs. I am not a giant lardass and I have been at higher altitudes with zero issues so it can't be my health acting up. While walking through a field I smell a smell that I never experienced before. I thought it was really bad BO but after smelling me, my friend, even investigating the area for a dead animal I could only conclude I was experiencing what rotting flesh smelled like. I mean after all I was on Antietam battlefield. My friend had his own experience. He saw what looked like a Confederate soldier sitting on a chair reading a book. He looks away for a second only to look back and he is gone. So take what you will from my experiences but based on them I cannot sent there is definitely paranormal activity that happens. I guess it also depends on how receptiveyou are to spiritual anomalies. Some people are extremely sensitive, others are dull as a post. Like genetics, not everyone can experience the same thing since we are made differently.
