Yeah the Crisis of the 3rd Century and the Plague killed off the talent. After the mid 200's you can see the art decline so that by the 300's the sculptures like others said look cartoonish starting with the sculpture of Constantius Chlorus.

@AmariFukui It is in decline. The quality of life, laziness, opulence, decadence, arrogance, greed, selfishness, is at an all time high coupled with incompetence and mediocrity. People serve in the army not for love of country but for free college and healthcare. Terrible art, food, quality of products, inflation, importing foreigners who don't care about the country they move to just like the barbs in Roman times who just want a handout, not assimilate, and slowly take over destroying the culture and driving out the descendants of the population that made the country great.
