@MrLeadb1 YYA accord with Sovjet Union after ww2 was kinda buffer zone for Sovjets against hostlle Mato. YYA protected both Finland and Sovjet Union. An unique, very special alliance at the time. Both benefitted hugely. Finland's prosperity and wellfare is based on that accord, due to mutual trade especially.

@sepposeppola6842 Lies. Finland had excellent relations with Sovjet Union after ww2, we had NO issues espesially military since then. Both benefitted hugely and only because of trade with Russia Finland made its prosperity and wellfare. Have you lived under a stone? Or just a little naasi trying to sell BS there?

I'm an old Finn and know our history very well and we had excellent relations with Sovjets after ww2. Since Holkeri regime 1987 hatred to Russia started to grow and the joining EU 1994 ruined relations for good. It's been downhill ever since and illegal joining Mato was the final nail to the coffing, as we are witnessing today. @Soundsinthevoid Finland's people did NOT vote for joining so it was illegal. Against constitution. We never will know how many really wanted to join. If we would have election I would have accepted the ourcome. Now I surely do not. The biggest mistake in Finland's history but it is what it is.
