  1.  @johnrohde5510  Thanks for education. I perfectly agree about, you have better English than I and you completely explained Finland's position within autonomy. I just mixed Alexander II and Nikolai I obviously. And indeed Nikolai II era was very bad for Finland because he was stupid enough to misunderstand Finland's nationalistic ambitions against Russia. At the time Finland did not want hostilities with anyone really, just its independence that realized much later 6.12.1917.

  3.  @johnrohde5510  Indeed In 1809 Finland became an autonomy of Russia, right? The autonomy era till Alexander II was great time for both Russia and Finland, and especially to Finland. But with Nikolai I things were getting worse, especially for Finland. It's all about how strong the leader is, isn't.
