Yeah people think it'll make a lot of normies to migrate to Linux and while that's certainly true, the bulk of those who move away from windows will go straight to apple due to ease of access and quality customer support. Linux people need to get off their high horse and think of the normies instead of their egos, then the normies will actually want to participate in the Linux community.

@Äpple-pie-5k oh I'm not saying otherwise. Just that the Linux community could do a lot better for wins like this to be greater and much more frequent. Why share a win with apple when you could dominate? Linux people know better too, which is a shame.

Except it's a pattern that these "opt-in features" are enabled by default and one has to literally go out of their way to "opt-out" of them, and the option tends to be deliberately obfuscated

Good thing my windows update completely broke and nothing works to fix it (didn't stop Microsoft from using other weird means to force some of their updates like the one to display their their end of support pop up window, using 80% of RAM in the process and nearly bricking the entire system once again)
