  1. Connor, you understand nothing about actual home schooling. I was going to explain it, but I dare you - go look into it. Do it honestly. I thought it was stupid until I actually dug in and found what it could be. Children are graduating without being able TO READ. How is that "smarter" than having a smaller class learning and getting to go to the Science museum or outside ... There are so many amazing options for home schooling. Go find then before judging something you clearly know nothing about.

  2. I keep trying to get a group together to help homeschool in my neighborhood, but there is such apathy in red states that think somehow, magically, this isn't being taught here. It is so frustrating, offering to use my decades of study in English, in many different Histories, for free, and hear nothing. Maybe I need to move where I am needed. All of us who can must be allies of parents right now.

  5. Why is it always "She should fix this"? Why always someone else? I don't have kids in schools and I've been working on organizing a co-op. I'm disabled but I can still teach. If you wait to be saved, it will be too late.

  6. @Ryan Lamp, that sounds like an excuse. Are you not interested in saving anything? I'm so tired of "the Democrats will take this thing" and that's it. OK, roll over and be a doormat. Or stand up and say NO! You - teachers union or political party or whatever - are not in charge of my child. And you never will be.
