  3. My Mom and I watched the VP debate together and knew immediately that this is a special person. He's not loud, something's going on there. I think we both said "He knows Jesus!" at the same time. : ) He's really loved and respected, hope he knows that.

  5. The acceptance movements are so dangerous. I have an as of now incurable autoimmune illness. Had it almost 30 years, so yeah, when I see people choose to throw away their health with both hands? That's frustrating. Being sick and disabled and in pain every day sucks. But I find a way every single day to not throw myself a pity party. My best friend breaks my heart. Terrified of illness, but eats seven tacos for lunch. On blood pressure meds before 30. Cheering for that is dangerous. Women all over YouTube truly seem to think being fat is the same as being Black. What?? No! And how is that not considered racist? Sorry, shutting up now. This topic is so frustrating, because if we try to help a friend not die young or require a wheelchair because of something that can be controlled? Oh, you're a fat shamer. No. I'm a person lover. And this is so dangerous. Just like the girls who teach each other how to throw up their food to "be thin". It's all poisonous and dangerous.

  6. Thank you for talking about this. We do need to help, but there is real help, and there is continuing the cycle. Someone I love became homeless. Said it was cool to be homeless on the beach. He was such a good man. So loved. So smart! And wasted his good brain and tender heart by choosing being allowed to smoke over a clean bed here in flyover country. I don't even know how to leave flowers at his grave because his also addicted daughter lost his ashes at an airport. Sometimes I find a dark humor in that . But mostly, I just miss my Uncle. Every day.

  8. @Lilianna, Been there, gained 30 in a month, freaked out, diagnosed with very broken thyroid... and yes, it is harder. I'm 51 now and it's harder. If your hormones are funky, push hard for help with balancing them. We need to put out health first! Not the numbers on the scale, which I used to check daily Also not healthy. I have to eat way less now or I'll literally have to walk around nakey. No one needs to see me naked, so I'm working on every aspect of it. I also look back on pix of myself 20 years ago at 5" 6 maybe 110 lbs, & want to go back and hug that girl. My Mom made me wear a pre-Spanx girdle thing before I could leave the house. That also wasn't healthy. Finding the balance takes a while, but worth it.

  13. I have people in my family with similar stories. I hope he has been able to tell his story often. Having been in the USSR before the coup, I am so beyond frustrated that people think that life would be fun.Or ever be fair. It's not, and anyone who thinks differently has been lied to, and has never really looked into it for themselves.

  14. @Potato, you don't have to touch the stove to know getting burned will hurt. I knew Communism was wrong before my trip to the then Soviet Union, that's why I went. I absolutely learned more about it by being there, but there are so many people who escaped Communism and will tell you, it was Hell.

  17. Valencia, God lives in the hearts of billions of people. He is in schools, in homes, in nature... because of Jesus. And you do have a better chance of finding someone who shares your faith if you attend church. Churches are flawed, because people are, it doesn't mean we stop going. It just means we do better, better at reaching out to our communities, things my church is doing pretty well. But like the Bible says, seek God, seek His face daily, "and all these things shall be added unto you". Meaning don't just go to church to meet a person. We have to be the person our hopeful future mates are looking for! So for me, it's about belonging to Jesus first. Then maybe some man is doing the same thing and we'll bump into each other :0) Candace's husband is a lovely man, their interview on the Convocation at Liberty U a few days after the wedding was so cute.

Only God knows the heart of men and women, but we can see the fruit of the Spirit in those who belong to Jesus, and I have always seen that in Mike Pence.

  21. Who are you saying is pro-abortion here? As a person who has actively worked to help women not abort their babies, I'm pretty sure I would have noticed that. They were t a liking about how gross Michelle Williams was for "thanking her abortion" for allowing her to win a crappy award, and how sick that was. Maybe there was a misunderstanding ?

  22. I love the Big Tent. God Himself meets each of us where we are. If you require people to agree with you on everything right off the bat? You honestly might want to start a new party. If we as humans place ourselves higher than God? We are wrong. Who did Jesus spend time with? He spent time with the Apostles, people who agreed with Him, then He went to eat with the most hated people of that time. Tax collectors. Prostitutes. Because God does not require you to do a bunch of things first, then you're accepted. We are all equally loved by God. We all have sinned and have needed forgiveness, probably will again :) The Church needs to be radical. Get ready. The Church needs to be like Jesus. Conservative politics are similar. Get too arrogant about being Correct and "God is in our side"? I don't want that. On My hardest days this year, I watch the #walkaway videos. I'm so proud of them! They are brave. We don't agree on everything, but we hate cancel culture and critical race theory and all this leftist baloney. So sure, go start a Pro Life only party. Then after a year, compare how many people you showed why choosing life is right, and I'll show you the same. I'll have more. You have to actually like and respect human life of you hope to earn their time and their attention. And in pro life, we have to keep caring for that baby and the mother after birth. That's where we way back in the 1980s erred. I learned that while debating a Pro abortion woman. And I thanked her for it, it made me a better supporter of LIFE. Too many people just say they're Pro Life. What are we/you doing about it?
